2021 Ford Escape Review
Ever since the invention of the Model T, Ford has been known for innovation. And the 2021 Ford Escape shows how the limit for their creativity continues to expand into the future.
Your team at Ramsey Ford is here to help you learn more about this SUV, and how it can fit into your daily drives around Rising Sun, Havre de Grace, and North East, Maryland.¹
Heightened Fuel Efficiency
Similar to the previous model year, the 2021 Ford Escape is set to offer three engine options starting with a 1.5-liter motor. This efficiency baseline powertrain should earn an estimated 27 city/33 highway MPG, helping you roam the open road with fewer gas station stops.
The biggest difference is that, in addition to the hybrid motor, the Escape is now adding on a plug-in hybrid option for the SE, SEL, and Titanium trim levels. Plug-in models increase all-electric range for an eco-friendlier ride.
You can also equip the Class II Trailer Tow Package to any Escape trim level with the available 2.0-liter engine or hybrid motor. Currently, this SUV can haul a maximum of 3,500 pounds, so you can expect a similar capability for the 2021 model year.
Bold Style Upgrades
When you lay your eyes on the 2021 Ford Escape, you’ll notice a major difference in appearance. This SUV now takes a lower, wider, and longer stance than previous years, and is available in a bevy of new galactic colors like Antimatter Blue and Carbonized Gray.
The inside is also given style upgrades with available packages like the Titanium Elite, which adds on a leather-wrapped steering wheel and leather trim. You can also equip the SEL Stealth AWD Package and be treated to ActiveX™ seating material with Miko® Suede inserts.
Top-of-the-Line Technology
Similar to previous model years, the 2021 Ford Escape is packed with advanced tech to provide you with a more enjoyable and smoother drive.
Add on the SYNC® 3 entertainment system with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ integration to enjoy access to certain apps as well as your curated music library. No matter what you decide to listen to, the available B&O™ Sound System by Bang & Olufsen will make it sound clear and refined, thanks to 11 speakers placed strategically around your cabin.
As you cruise down the freeway cranking your favorite tunes, available Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Speed Sign Recognition will keep you relaxed and secure. It maintains a preset following speed and distance between you and the car ahead, stopping and slowing your SUV as traffic calls for. It even detects speed limit signs on the road and can adjust your traveling speed to match.
